Influencer Spotlight – Holli Thompson

Holli Thompson started from the bottom. Rock bottom.

The Certified Holistic Health Coach and Natural Health Professional was not always in the nutrition industry, nor was she the healthy, happy woman she is today. In fact, 20 years ago, Thompson lived a glamorous life in the fashion industry as a VP at Chanel in NYC. However, while on the outside she seemed to be living the dream, Thompson was suffering greatly on the inside. She regularly dealt with pain and discomfort from multiple ailments including extreme migraines, constant allergies, inflammation, and even multiple miscarriages. Nearing 40, decided to quit her job and move to her husband to Virginia for a change of pace and to raise a family. There, her conditions continued to worsen, adding in depression and a slew of additional health problems.

After several years of suffering, gaining 40 pounds and still unable to pinpoint the cause of her sickness, Thompson had hit rock bottom. With nothing to lose and the determination to get her life back, Thompson devoted herself to finding a solution to her health through health and nutrition education. She attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and the Natural Gourmet Institute for Food and Health in NYC, as well as earning certifications from the T. Colin Campbell Foundation of Cornell University and the National Association of Certified Natural Health Practitioners, as well as other reputable institutions. Slowly, she began to better understand her body and create a health plan for herself that alleviated her ailments and led her to a healthier, happier life.

On the heels of her personal health transformation, Thompson decided to use her knowledge to help others, as well. As the founder of Nutritional Style, a global health and nutrition blog and consulting business, Thompson has embarked on an entirely new career path. She believes that health and nutrition are personal and must be catered to each individual. As a health coach, Thompson offers one-on-one counseling where she is “part detective, part scientist and a bit of a big sister,” utilizing her knowledge and passion to produce profound results for her clients.  She is well known for her system of identifying three types of nutritional styles: Healthy Omnivore, Flexible Vegetarian and Modern Vegan.

As an influential leader in the nutrition and health industry, Thompson is in high demand. She is often seen as a contributor for CBS News, Fox, Style FX, “Let’s Talk Live” on ABC, and multiple print and online publications.  Through her blog and social media this influencer helps her fans better their lives through regular nutrition tips and education. Thompson is also known for her innovative book, “Discover Your Nutritional Style, Your Seasonal Plan for a Healthy, Happy, and Delicious Life.”

As an influencer who started from rock bottom, Thompson has soared to the top, and is making it her life’s goal to help others get there, too.
