Witching Hour: Last Minute Halloween Inspiration

October just flew by on its broomstick and not only is November creeping up on us, so is Halloween! (Cue spooky sounds and evil laughs) If Halloween prep got caught in busy October’s web, no worries! You still have a couple days to ensure your friends won’t be saying “Boo Felicia.”  We’ve gathered some inspo from some of our favorite social media influencers to help you get your creep on and  spookify your house, menu, and even that last-minute costume.

Decorations

You can’t just plop a couple pumpkins here and there and call your house Halloween ready! You need to get crafty and @liagriffith has all the DIY tips. From festive banners to table decorations to accompany your witch’s brew, she has it all. Check out her website for step-by-step DIY videos for all your Halloween decorating needs!

Food & Drink

So, you finally have some decorations up and your house is in the Halloween spirit… or rather looks like the house of spirits. Now what to feed your guests? Check out @homemadehooplah for inspo for spooky snacks and drinks. Whether it be a spiked witch’s brew or spider apple pops, Chrissy has all the creative eats to inspire your Halloween menu. Now go eat, drink, and be scary!

Costumes

No kid wants be a boring old witch or mummy anymore. Halloween is the year’s pinnacle event to showcase your creativity through scary, hairy, funny or punny costumes. If you’re struggling with dressing your kids up this year, check out @ginalee. Her feed is filled to the brim with fun, creative, and, most importantly, simple costume ideas for boys and girls. From Wednesday Addams to Ruth Bader Ginsburg to Jake from Statefarm, your kids will look adorable in any of the Gina’s carefully executed costumes.

Makeup

Now that the kids are all set with their costumes, it’s your turn! Halloween isn’t only about the tulle skirts, body suits and crazy wigs… you’ve got to dress up your face, too! It’s not often you get to pull out that bright purple, sparkly eyeshadow you bought in college, but now is your chance.  For any and all Halloween makeup inspo, check out @victorialynbeauty. Lippy Lyn’s page is flooded with vibrant looks like “Unicorn Glitter Glam” or the classic “Voodoo Skull Makeup.” While her instagram will inspire you, head over to her Youtube channel for tutorials on how to execute the looks to perfection!

Alright  – your house is spooky, your eats are so good it’s scary, kids are the cutest/funniest/scariest on the block and you are looking BOO-tiful! Enjoy your Halloween, guys and ghouls!
